LucasHaining acts as an extension of the Principal’s team, providing structured leadership from early feasibility through to project completion.
Our involvement often begins during pre-construction, where early decisions shape long-term project performance. We provide constructability insight, facilitate Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), support procurement strategy development and prepare RFT documentation aligned to realistic delivery risk. We coordinate and manage site investigations and enabling works so that scope and design decisions are grounded in practical construction understanding.
During delivery, we operate in Project Manager, Engineer’s Representative or Principal’s Representative roles under NZS 3910, NZS 3915 and NZS3916 contracts, providing disciplined governance and transparent reporting.
A key strength of our model is our contractor-earned experience. We understand how contractors assess risk, sequence work and respond to programme pressure. This allows us to translate technical and commercial matters clearly for Principals while maintaining constructive, professional relationships with delivery teams.
By appropriately identifying, articulating and allocating risk at the right time, we improve alignment across parties and support continuity of site delivery.
Where independent commercial assurance is required, we also provide quantity surveying and cost verification services to maintain financial transparency.
